Thermage® Skin Tightening
What Is Thermage Skin Tightening?
Thermage is an advanced skin tightening procedure that can take years off your appearance. The device delivers radiofrequency waves deep into the skin layers, which heats the tissue and stimulates the natural healing process. As a result, new collagen is produced, creating a more youthful and smooth skin contour. Thermage is tailored to your specific skin care needs to effectively tighten and rejuvenate loose skin around the body. The treatment can be performed by our dermatologist or one of our plastic surgeons.
What Skin Concerns Can Thermage Treat?
The Thermage procedure can be performed on areas such as the face, neck, stomach, thighs, and legs, depending on your aesthetic goals. Common concerns that can be improved with Thermage include:
- Crepey, sagging skin on the abdomen and legs
- Loose skin around the eyes that creates a “hooded” appearance
- Lines around the forehead, eyes, and mouth
- Lax skin along the jawline and underneath the chin
How Does the Thermage Treatment Work?
The advanced Thermage system sends radiofrequency energy into the skin layers where collagen is produced. As this tissue is gently heated, the collagen contracts and stimulates new growth. This process creates subtle improvement and younger-looking skin. While the deep skin layers are treated, the device provides a cooling effect to the surface of the skin to protect from any damage, which also increases patient comfort throughout the procedure.
The entire Thermage skin tightening process takes about 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the size and number of areas being treated. Little to no downtime is needed, allowing you to return to work or other daily activities immediately after your appointment.
How Long Does Thermage Last?
Thermage skin tightening can become apparent within a day of treatment and should continue to improve over the course of six months. Your results can last from one to two years, depending on the unique qualities of your skin. To prolong the anti-aging effects of Thermage, our medical experts may recommend repeat treatments, approximately one every year.
How Much Does Thermage Cost?
Although every patient will have a unique treatment plan tailored to their individual needs, the average cost of Thermage typically begins at $1,200. This will greatly vary based on the specific area being treated. Our team can provide you with a more personalized cost quote to help you plan for your treatment.
